Robert graduated in 1992 and worked in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training positions for 8 years. He is recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Oral Surgery.
In 2001 he completed, with Distinction, an MSc in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London. Robert is one of only a few dental specialists to have undertaken this level of clinical Implantology training at the Eastman Dental Hospital.
Robert has been working as Clinical Lecturer in Dental Implantology at Cardiff Dental Hospital, since 2003. The post involves the teaching of implant treatments to postgraduate MSc students.
Robert has lectured nationally and internationally on the surgical aspects of dental implantology. He teaches on bone augmentation and soft tissue management courses for Dentsply Sirona Implants and an implant aesthetics course at the Dominic Hassall training institute, Solihull.
Robert limits his work to dental implantology procedures, peri-implantitis treatment, bone grafting, guided bone regeneration, maxillary sinus grafting, cosmetic gum surgery and specialist oral surgery procedures.
His area of interest is the reconstruction of missing bone and gum tissue aimed at improving the cosmetic results of dental implant treatment.
