Dr Imogen Midwood
Practice Limited to Periodontics
Imogen treats a wide range of patients with a variety of gum (periodontal) conditions and complex clinical needs. Following her Graduation in Dentistry from the University of Bristol Dental Hospital in 2012 Imogen has worked in general practice and spent a year as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery, at Gloucester Royal Hospital. She then returned to Bristol Dental Hospital to teach undergraduates and led a large research project which studied the prevalence of periodontal disease in the South West of England and its links to other oral conditions. This culminated in being awarded a master’s degree in Dental Research.
Imogen completed her specialty training in Periodontology at Guys Dental Hospital in September 2021, passing the rigorous 4-year training programme with a distinction. This training has equipped Imogen to treat patients with a full range of periodontal treatments from routine to complex depending on the individual’s needs. Her treatments include non-surgical and surgical management of gum disease including bone preservation and regeneration techniques, management of gum recession and much more!
Imogen has returned to live and work in Bristol, splitting her time between Bristol Dental Hospital working under Professor Nicola West and 3 private practices of the Dentina group: Parry’s Lane Dental Practice in Stoke Bishop, The Dental Surgery in Clifton Village and Linden Lodge in Clevedon.
As well as working with her colleagues on complex multidisciplinary cases, Imogen is delighted to provide a support service to dental colleagues in all area of periodontology, and frequently provides education sessions for local practitioners.
