Dr Isa Catarina Mendes
Practice Limited to Orthodontics
Isa Catarina grew up in an enthralling city from the north of Portugal called Braga. She studied dentistry at University of Porto and graduated in 2011.
She is passionate about craniofacial growth and orthodontics and the impact it has on a patient’s quality of life. This inspired her to further her learning within Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry.
She completed a postgraduate course followed by a master’s degree in clinical orthodontics in Porto in 2014. She worked in a hospital environment and in different specialist practices in Portugal, being part of excellent teams and meeting experienced professionals, and providing all aspects of Orthodontics.
She moved to Wales in 2015 where completed a year of vocational training and continued to work in general practice with special interest in Orthodontics.
Isa settled in Bristol in 2021 and has been attending specialized courses in orthodontics with clinical training, she completed another postgraduate course in Orthodontics in 2020 in Bristol and she is currently undertaking a master’s degree in Birmingham, alongside working in private practice with special interest in Orthodontics.
Isa provides a full range of orthodontic treatment, including “invisible” aligners and ceramic brackets; and is always looking to learn new techniques to provide orthodontic treatment with a truly minimally invasive dentistry for each patient.
Away from dental surgery, she enjoys reading and long walks with her dog. She also enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, travelling, and loves listening to music. She is undertaking guitar lessons and truly enjoying it. ‘
